DAY ONE - Depart from your home area in the morning and travel to Bournemouth, arriving in the afternoon at the Durley Dean Hotel. 4 nights stay – dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY TWO - After a leisurely breakfast, we visit the wonderful Bournemouth Christmas markets. Browse amongst the chalets of food, drink and local craftspeople showcasing their festive goodies. On our return, we enjoy Tea & Christmas cake. Tonight, Traditional Christmas Dinner is served. Santa calls bearing gifts and afterwards festive entertainment and dancing.
DAY THREE - This morning, we journey West to Dorchester, the county town of Dorset. The town is the fictional ‘Casterbridge’ of Hardy’s novels. Today is market day where traders will be showcasing local produce and gifts for you to browse amongst.
After time here we head off to Weymouth along the coast road through Abbotsbury, home of the famous Swannery. Weymouth is a resort with lots of character – take a stroll along the Esplanade or explore the interesting harbour. We enjoy a Dorset Cream Tea in the hotel this afternoon and dinner tonight is followed by music and dancing.
DAY FOUR - We begin the day with a scenic drive through the New Forest National Park as we head to the town of Lyndhurst. Lyndhurst is known as the capital of The New Forest since the times of William the Conqueror. It also offers a wide range of shops, cosy tea rooms, old-world pubs and cafes.
Later, we travel to the market town of Lymington, in the south of the New Forest. Here we have a chance to enjoy lunch and spend some time exploring at our own pace.
DAY FIVE - After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
