DAY ONE

Depart from your home area in the morning and travel to Kent, arriving late afternoon at Orida Hotel Maidstone. 4 nights stay – dinner, bed & breakfast.

DAY TWO

This morning we drive to Royal Tunbridge Wells. Browse the independent shops and the cafes, bars and music on the high street. After lunch, we journey to Hever Castle, the former childhood home of Anne Boleyn. The story of the Tudors at Hever is depicted in the many portraits around the castle.

DAY THREE

After breakfast, we visit Rochester with its magnificent cathedral and historic castle, explore the old town and cobbled streets. Later, we travel to Chatham and the famous Historic Naval Dockyard. This is the filming location for the popular series Call the Midwife. We will enjoy a themed, guided tour including the Call the Midwife exhibition. After our tour, you are free to explore the abundance of historic buildings dating from 1704, warships, dry docks, and Museum.

DAY FOUR

Today we visit to historic Canterbury, with its famous cathedral. We have a chance to have lunch here before we visit Leeds Castle this afternoon. Set on two islands on the River Len, the castle has been home to generations of Lords and Ladies for over 1000 years. We are transported through around 900 years of the castle’s history – in a sumptuous mix of period architecture, impressive interiors, and family treasures

DAY FIVE

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.

The Orida Hotel, Maidstone is located of the M20, 10 minutes from central Maidstone. Hotel facilities include an indoor pool, spa and gym. Bedrooms are all ensuite, and have television, hairdryer, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.  The Hotel does not have a lift but has ground floor rooms available.
