DAY ONE 

Depart from your home area travelling to Plymouth, arriving late afternoon at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel. 4 nights stay – dinner, bed & breakfast, with hotel entertainment each evening.

DAY TWO

This morning we drive to nearby Torquay, known as the ‘Queen of the English Riviera’, boasting a stylish marina and beautiful beaches meandering the length of the town. Visit the harbour, enjoy a stroll along the promenade, or discover more about its history at Torre Abbey and Gardens. In the afternoon we head to Paignton where you are free to discover the town and its 18th-century harbour. Perhaps enjoy a stroll along beachfront.

DAY THREE

Today we travel into Plymouth centre. We start with a visit to The Box - Plymouth’s award-winning museum and gallery. Exploring the collections and galleries, including the beautifully restored St Luke’s Church with its rotating exhibitions. Watch out for the life-size woolly mammoth! The rest of the day is then free at leisure to explore the city. Return to the hotel on the afternoon to enjoy a Devonshire Cream tea.

DAY FOUR

After breakfast, we make our way to the city of Exeter for a guided tour of the cathedral, discovering the history of this magnificent example of Gothic architecture and hear the stories of the people who have worshipped here for nearly a thousand years. Followed by a free afternoon to explore Exeter. Perhaps visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, explore the city’s Underground Passages, or wander down to the Quayside.

DAY FIVE

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
