DAY ONE

Depart from our home areas traveling to Cairnryan for our afternoon ferry to Belfast. Continuing to the La Mon Hotel & Country Club. 4 nights stay – dinner, bed & breakfast.

DAY TWO

This morning, we journey to Mount Stewart House and Gardens - the ancestral home of the Londonderry family.  It regularly features as one of the top ten gardens in the world. This afternoon we journey to WWT Castle Espie where accessible pathways help you spot the huge variety of wildlife native to Ireland.

DAY THREE

Today we travel the shot distance to visit the Kings official residence of Northern Ireland - Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. We will enjoy a tour of the castle with our guide sharing details about the historical rooms, with time to explore the gardens and enjoy lunch in the orangery.

DAY FOUR

After breakfast we journey the short distance to Lisburn where we visit the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum. A guide will show us around the exhibits detailing the heritage of this area with a particular focus on the importance of the linen industry to this region. After our visit, we journey to Downpatrick where the cathedral is said to be the burial place of St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. We learn more about the heritage of St Patrick in a recently refurbished visitor’s centre that brings the heritage to life in an interactive exhibit.

DAY FIVE

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
