DAY ONE
Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Llandrindod Wells and arrive in the afternoon at Hotel Commodore. 4 nights stay – dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY TWO
This morning we begin with a drive to the Elan Valley and the Dams Visitor Centre for a short break. We return to Llandrindod Wells in time to obtain lunch in the. Later, we visit the National Cycle Museum, see bicycles from 1818, such as the Hobby Horse, Boneshakers and Penny Farthings, up to the most modern carbon fibre machines of today.
DAY THREE
An early start as we have a full day excursion to Aberystwyth and the Vale of Rheidol Railway. We catch the train along the former Great Western line to Devil’s Bridge. A short walk from the terminus brings you to the spectacular Mynach Falls. We take a break at Devil’s Bridge and have time for refreshments before we catch the return train.
DAY FOUR
Our day begins with a ride to Welshpool for a chance to explore before we visit the magnificent Powis Castle and Garden. With the influence of Italian and French style, the famous garden has original statues, orangery and aviary on the terraces. Above the garden terraces, the medieval castle has one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales. Finally, we break in Knighton before returning to base.
DAY FIVE
After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
